We should change the name of our team from the Oklahoma Thunder to the Oklahoma Step-Dads...Because we beat you, and you hate us. Our logo could be cross-beer bottles with a rolled up belt in the middle, or just a stained wife-beater. Our headlines would read, "Step-Dads lose temper, and abuse Austin," or "Step-Dadden Madden says not in my house!" Instead of championship rings we could get chamionship brass knuckles, one hand would say S-T-E-P,and the other D-A-D-S. I bet we would still have difficulty finding teams that would want to play us.

I like playing you guys, though I do not like the outcome or score, and look forward to playing you all next year, with a different outcome. Good luck Coach Madden and the Thunder on Jan 16th. I will be rooting for the WFL team.

Will you have a radio broadcast on your website for that game? Hope all team members are available and you are at the top of your game. I'd like to see the WFL crush the competition.

Let me make myself clear. I have never posted anything that would suggest that I am a "Thunder-hater". To the contrary, if you visit with Sonny Ashford, he would tell you that I have been supportive of the Thunder and the league, as a fan, as well as my local team. And, yes, I only post under my real name. I don't hide behind fake names. I try to keep my postings as G-rated as possible as you never know who will be looking at the site. I see your humor and, yes it is funny. My hat is off to you and I do apologize for maybe being a bit over sensitive. Nice comment on BEVO. Its nice to see people that can piece together a sentence that not only makes sense, but use words that are correctly spelled and use proper punctuation. I hated English class, but it drives me nuts to see people that cannot write above a 4th grade level. Nothing says "I'm a dumb jock" like some of the postings I have seen. Best of luck to the Thunder. I would like to see how the Thunder stack up against "elite" teams from other leagues, if the other teams are willing to risk losing to a superior opponent.
Todd "DNKY" Nelson Comment by Todd "DNKY" Nelson on September 16, 2009 at 11:11am
Hello, its me again. I would like to start off by saying that views and opinions of Todd "DNKY" Nelson are mine and mine alone. In no way are they remotely represntative of the WFL, the Oklahoma Thunder, or the Oklahoma Step-Dads. Getting kicked off here we all know that I am an elite member of a group known as "classless hooligans," so my tasteless, yet truthful, comments should come as no surprise.

My deepest apologies to step-dads across America, I'm sorry that enough of you fit the stereotype for all of you to put in that stereotype. To make amends to the situation I am deeming today, 16 September 2009, Step-Dads Day. You've earned it! Pat your step-child on the back, but not too hard.

Now let's move on to the "Haters." Some of you are really obsessive. Who starts out the day in such a bad mood that they bloggity blog blog negativity about someone they don't know? Mark Vander Zwaag, for one. Mr. Vander Zwaag, if that's even your real name, if we all know something why do you need to say it? Secondly, I'm not clever smart I'm wicked smart. You obviously knew the intent was to be funny, or you would not have mentioned it. Duh, it was a little arrogant too, that's why it came off as funny and arrogant. I'm glad you thought it was funny, by the way. Why did you then go on to call all step-dads abusers of women and children? Next time you may want to proof-read a little better instead of focusing so much on throwing your intellectual prowess around. What goes around, comes around.

Moving on to Chancey Kipness, this one is too easy. Your comment quit making sense in the third sentence, and was only worsened by the unrelated analogy that follwed. Vander Zwaag even saw that. I'm udder-ly speechless, BEVO.

I appreciate all of the hating going on. You must get better at it though. If you're going to do something at least be good at it. You already hate me, don't let me beat you too. Keep it up, you'll get better. My middle finger is a size 12, that's the finger my World Bowl Championship Ring is going on.

I for one really enjoyed the post!

We all know that this is not representative of the Thunder organization. The posting totally lacks class (and any hint of brains). Wife-beater??? Clever, smart! Iguess the intent was to be funny, but it sure came off as being arrogant and r e a l l y stupid. I hope the coach and owner of the team take exception to that message. I'm sure they don't want their team associated with abusers of women and children. Take a moment the next time you want to post something like that to think about what you are saying. Then again, you probably are "too tough" to care. Hope your off season job cleaning toilets is very satisfying. I have a hunch you will continue down that career path. Don't breathe too much of the fumes- you can't afford to kill many more brain cells.
