Way to Go Gunners!!!!!

The Arkansas War Cats would like to thank the OKC Gunners for being great hosts this past weekend. They had everything in place for the youth games and the WFL game. Their coaches volunteered to ref the youth games at the last minute, they arranged the field, the announcer, and clock operator for the youth game, they made sure our youth teams were safe in the heat, they had ice for both youth and WFL teams, adequate dressing areas with showers that worked, excellent security that aided us with any request, and went out of their way to insure that we were comfortable. After the game one of their staff was in our dressing room cleaning up and stayed until we were finished to make sure everything was in order. Just wanted to express our appreciation and felt it warranted that the league and other teams know the standards they are setting. We look forward to doing the same for them when they come to our house.

I hope everyone takes the opportunity to field a youth team next season. Although I was one who was against it initially, after our first youth game I was very glad we made the effort to get it done this inaugural year. The youth and the parents had a great time, and for the teams that didn't do it this year, your WFL players are missing out. Our kids were so beside themselves when they saw our WFL players out there on the sidelines cheering them on and somehow watching those little guys really got our players pumped up for the game. It made those little guys day and the parents are already saying they can't wait to do it again next year. We now have over 40 other kids waiting to come on board for next season.
